March 2024 Pavilion Update at Katie's Landing

Great News! Fund Raising has now exceeded $100,000 !

And the permitting stage is underway. We’re getting close! Once the various governmental oversight agencies (St John River Water Management District, the State Parks Department, and Seminole County among others) thorough reviews are completed and approved, the predesigned kit for the site will be ordered.

It is estimated once the materials arrive, the build will take 4-6 weeks. Upon completion, the Pavilion will be gifted to the state park for future visitor’s enjoyment fulfilling Kate Moncrief’s vision.

Friends of the Wekiva would like to extend a huge THANK-YOU to the Rotary Club for their generous donation to our pavillion and picnic table fund!
